Director of Public Works - The City of Anna, Texas is seeking an experienced public works professional with knowledge of and experience in the management of public works operations to be the next Director of Public Works. Under the general administrative direction of the City Manager, this position performs supervisory and administrative work in directing, supervising, and coordinating the operations of the Public Works Department including the following operations: Water Production, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment, Street Maintenance, Municipal Buildings and Facilities Maintenance, Parks Maintenance, Recreation Programs, and Engineering and Construction Inspections. The Public Works Director serves as a key member of the City Manager’s executive team and oversees budgets totaling $4.9 million for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 and an organization with 14 FTE’s. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Public Administration or closely related field is required. Texas Registered Professional Engineer preferred. Ten years previous experience including five years’ of supervisory experience, in public works operations and city administration; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Possession of a valid Texas Class C driver's license.
Starting salary is commensurate with expertise and education.
