Slayter Creek Park
Slayter Creek Park is located west of Anna Middle School on Rosamond Parkway and includes a variety of recreational amenities including: four lighted ball fields, two tennis courts, two basketball goals, two large multi-purpose athletic fields, a 3,600 foot walking trail, a skateboard park, a playground, horseshoe pits, a shuffleboard court, a splash pad, disc golf course, a large pavilion, gazebo, and a concession building with restrooms.  Major funding to construct the park was provided by the City of Anna, a grant from the State of Texas, and donations from the Anna Community Development Corporation.

Slayter Creek Trail

The Slayter Creek trail includes a 4,400 foot walking trail that connects the Slayter Creek Park trail to Hackberry Drive.  Look for the coyote tracks at “Coyote Crossing” along the southern half of the trail.  This is a portion of a larger trail system that will eventually run almost the entire length (north to south) of the city.  It will ultimately connect many of our residential and recreational areas together with pedestrian access.

Bryant Park
Bryant Park is a 5 acre tract located on the north side of CR 371 just south of Bryant Elementary.   Currently, the park is undeveloped, but in the future will be available for outdoor athletic and recreational activities.

Geer Park
Geer Park is a 25 acre tract located just east of the intersection of Sixth and Smith Streets.   Like Bryant Park, this park is undeveloped, but in the future will be available for outdoor athletic and recreational activities.

Natural Springs Park

Natural Springs Park is just south of West White Street (FM 455), behind Brookshire’s and Rattan Elementary school.  Primary access to the park is off West White Street just east of AutoZone.  The site includes a natural spring that feeds a small man-made pond. The area around the spring and pond is heavily wooded. A large open area is located along the west side of the tract, providing lots of room for flying kites, playing with Frisbees, and other passive recreational activities.  While the majority of the park will remain in its natural state, amenities will include walking trails (with three bridges), picnic tables, benches, and a fishing pier at the pond.  Future phases of the park will involve the construction of more trails, a permanent parking area, and possibly a dog park.  This park provides a unique recreational experience.

Sherley Park
Sherley Park is located at the corner of Sherley Ave. and 4th Street.  The park is in the process of being redeveloped as a historical park that will celebrate Anna’s long heritage and its valuable location along the rail line.

Johnson Park
Johnson Park is located just east of Sherley Ave. at 1st street. The park features 2 softball fields where the youth league traditionally plays and a playground.

The City owns other areas of land throughout the city that are designated as park land and will be developed as the city grows.
