The Operations Division is composed of all the apparatus and firefighters that respond to emergencies when a citizen calls 911. The Anna Fire Rescue is made up of eight fulltime paid employees, three part-time employees and approximately twenty-two volunteers.
Members must pass a background check, interview and physical agility and drug screen before beginning a three-month probationary period.
From January 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016, volunteer members donated over 14,397 hours of station time and over 1,500 hours of training to the City. Statistics also indicate for eh same period of time the Department has responded to over 824 calls with and average response time of five minutes, and performed over ninety-four fire inspections.
The Department utilizes six pieces of firefighting apparatus and two command / staff vehicles, to carry out our Mission.
