The Operations Division is comprised of all the apparatus and firefighters that respond to emergencies when a citizen calls 911. The Anna Fire Rescue is made up of ten fulltime paid employees, three part-time employees and approximately twenty volunteers.
Members must pass a background check, interview and physical agility and drug screen before beginning a three-month probationary period.
From January 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018, volunteer members donated over 16,154 hours of station time and over 1,400 hours of training to the City. Statistics also indicate for the same period of time the Department has responded to over 1153 calls with and average response time of 7 minutes, and performed over 78 fire inspections.
The Department utilizes four pieces of firefighting apparatus and three command / staff vehicles, to carry out our Mission.
