The Fire department and the Public Works Department work together to flow test, repair, map and paint all the fire hydrants in the City.
Once this project is completed, it will assist firefighters in locating fire hydrants during an emergency situation, and also allow the public works department the knowledge to be able to locate and shut off valves in a time of need. The program will also assist the City maintain our I.SO. rating that we currently receive.
The City has over five hundred hydrants and all have been tested and mapped.
