The Fire Department and the Public Works Department work together to flow test, repair, map and paint all the fire hydrants in the city.
Once this project is completed, it will assist firefighters in locating fire hydrants during an emergency situation, and also allow the Public Works department the knowledge to locate and shut off valves in a time of need. The program will also assist the city in maintaining our I.SO. rating of 2 which we worked hard to earn.
The city has over 800 hundred hydrants and all have been tested and mapped.
