[ARCHIVED] Mayor's Message -

The spirit and strength of the Anna community lies squarely in the hands of the citizens who volunteer.  It is the time of year when the Anna City Council requests your consideration for participation in a very important aspect of city government with a call for applicants to serve on boards and commissions.

The members of our Boards and Commissions are residents who volunteer their time, experience and knowledge.  We invite you to review the various summaries of responsibilities while looking for a board or two that peak your interest.  Please keep in mind the following as you decide at what level you would like to participate:

·   Appointments are for two-year terms.

·   Each board or commission usually meets once a month on weeknights.

·   Attendance of at least 75% of the regularly scheduled meetings is required.

Anna's value and character are strengthened with every act of volunteerism.

Make a difference.... Volunteer!

Nate Pike, Mayor
