PRESS RELEASE – MARCH 7, 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION
ANNA POLICE DEPARTMENT

On March 7, 2018, at about 10am, Anna Police received a call from construction workers who were excavating land in the 1800 block of Taylor Blvd. in the City of Anna. The construction workers reported they believed they found human bones when they were clearing some brush. Our officers, along with deputies from the Collin County Sheriff’s Office arrived and confirmed the bones appeared to be consistent with human remains.

Having knowledge that Plano Police may have an interest in this finding, the Anna PD notified Plano Police investigators. We continue to work in conjunction with the Plano Police and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office crime scene units to process the scene.

This is an active scene; additional details will be released when available.
