[ARCHIVED] Public Works Week -

Public Works Week is May 21st through May 27th. Each year the American Public Works Association promotes awareness of the benefits provided by hard working Public Works employees. This year's theme is "The Power of Public Works" which speaks to the vital role Public Works plays in providing services that keep us all healthy and safe.

Public Works provides a board spectrum of services from clean water to disposing of solid waste, to building roads and bridges or planning for and implementing mass transit, or devising emergency management strategies to meet natural or man-made disasters, the quality of public works services determines a society's quality of life.

In honor of our hardworking staff, our Public Works Department will host a public event at the Slayter Creek Park Pavilion on Friday, May 25th between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM. In-N-Out Burger®, will be onsite and will provide burgers for free to the first 400 attendees. The splash pad and playground will be open! Our Public Works Team is looking forward to the chance to meet you at this event!
