NOTICE OF 2018 TAX YEARPROPOSED PROPERTY TAX RATEFOR THE CITY OF ANNAA tax rate of $0.601288 per $100 valuation has been proposedfor adoption by the governing body of the City of Anna. This rateexceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and statelaw requires that two public hearings be held by the governingbody before adopting the proposed tax rate.
The governing body of the City of Anna proposes to use revenueattributable to the tax rate increase for the purpose of addingadditional personnel and other expenses for operations andmaintenance as set forth in the proposed 2018-2019 fiscal yearbudget available at www.annatexas.gov.

The effective tax rate is the total tax rate needed to raise thesame amount of property tax revenue for the City of Anna fromthe same properties in both the 2017 tax year and the 2018 taxyear.
The rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate that the City of Annamay adopt before voters are entitled to petition for an election tolimit the rate that may be approved to the rollback rate.
