City Council adopted an ordinance setting the solid waste rates with CARDS Recycling, the City’s new solid waste provider. The new monthly rate for residential solid waste and recycling service is $15.25/month. This is a .25 cent reduction in the monthly rate. Neighbors will be provided one solid waste and one recycling cart. Neighbors may request additional carts at a cost of $7.00/month, per cart. The new rates will be reflected on the utility bills received in October, for the month of September. Once per month bulk waste is included in the residential price.
Beginning September 1, 2020, CARDS Recycling will provide recycling and refuse collection for all residences. Under the new curbside collection program each customer will receive a new 64-gallon poly cart for their recyclables and a 96-gallon trash cart collected once a week at the curbside. Carts will be delivered beginning Monday, August 17. These new containers are provided at no additional cost. The new carts will be delivered with literature that covers
what can and cannot be placed in the carts.
Please continue to use the Bradshaw and Sons trash carts until August 25 and use the recycling cart until August 28. Bradshaw will begin collecting their carts after the last pick-ups. Bradshaw stopped delivery of new poly carts on Monday, August 10. New cart requests since August 10 will be filled by CARDS. Bradshaw will continue to collect waste from these carts until the dates listed above. Service routes and dates will be available shortly. We will continue to post alerts on social media and provide updates on our website at Trash and Recycling Services,
