The City and its sanitation services provider CARDS were hopeful that sanitation services would be able to resume tomorrow, Friday, February 19. Unfortunately, due to the current condition of neighborhood roads as well as the route to the landfill, CARDS’ sanitation trucks would not be able to safely traverse amongst neighborhoods to provide service tomorrow. With temperatures well below freezing tonight, the minimal snow melt that did occur today will prevent dangerous roadway conditions tomorrow morning.
CARDS will resume residential sanitation services on Monday, February 22, returning to the normal operating schedule of neighborhood service. Since we are anticipating a large amount of trash service, there is no need to separate trash from recycling as all carts can be used equally.
A reminder as well, that bulk trash will also occur next week beginning on Monday.
