NCTCOG is sponsoring a Transit Needs Assessment and Planning Study for Collin County to evaluate transit demands and service options for Collin County. This study will identify existing conditions, detail needs for public transportation, describe future growth, and create a menu of transit options that could be implemented in the next three to five years. NCTCOG has contracted with Nelson\Nygaard Associates, a firm that specializes in public transportation planning, to lead the study effort for Collin County.
The purpose of the Public Transit Input Meetings is to share information about the study, present preliminary findings, and to hear from members of the public about transportation needs and priorities, as well as the vision for public transportation in Collin County. Representatives from NCTCOG and Nelson\Nygaard will be present to address comments and answer questions.
Visit www.accesscollin.org for more information about the project or to submit questions and comments to the project team at any time. For special accommodation requests or language interpretation services at one of these meetings, please contact Sarah Chadderdon, Transportation Planner, at (817) 695-9180 by Friday, October 26.
