Frequently Asked Questions

Placement is based on availability. Players are placed on teams after registration closes by the league director. We cannot guarantee placement on a specific team regardless of request but will do our best to accommodate. Players are placed in the unassigned/draft player pool for team placement. Special requests include: 

• Play with a sibling: Players may request to play with a sibling. 
• Players may request to play up a division.
• Bring a Friend – A U4-U6 player may request to play with a friend who is registering to play soccer. 
• U8 will have an assessment and a draft based on skill level, therefore we will not take special requests for this age division.

Placement is subject to availability and other team's roster needs. Please email any special requests with the title: "Special Requests: League name (U4-U6)"

All Players must have shin guards and water for all practices and games 

• Ball Size: U4 - U6 players use a FIFA size 3 ball.
• Shoes: Soccer cleats are recommend, but sneakers are also acceptable.
• Uniforms: U4 Jerseys are provided as part of the registration fees U5 and above, Uniforms are purchased by the parent / coach or through a sponsor.
• Jewelry: Jewelry cannot be worn by players during games except for medical or religious purposes – in this case they must be taped to the body. Earrings, necklaces, and bracelets must be removed. Band-Aids/tape cannot be placed over newly pierced ears during games.

Teams are formed based on age. Placement is based on availability. Players are placed on teams after registration closes by the league director. You may request to play with a coach upon registration.  

• Play with a sibling: Players may request to play with a sibling. 
• Players may request to play up a division.
• Bring a Friend – A U4-U6 player may request to play with a friend who is registering to play soccer. 
• U8 will have an assessment and a draft based on skill level, therefore we will not take special requests for this age division.

While we plan for and schedule 8 games for each team, we cannot guarantee all 8 games will be played each season. Conditions outside of our control, such as the weather, may force us to eliminate games.  

Only requests for schedule changes listed below will be honored: 

• Coaches conflict – If the head coach coaches another soccer team in Anna and they are scheduled at the same time. 
• School event – Affecting at least half your team 
• Religious event – Affecting at least half your team 

In the event of rain or severe weather, games will be rescheduled for a Sunday or weekday evening in the future. The schedules will be updated soon as possible.

Practice days, times, and locations are set by the coach of your team. Any conflicts on practices should be resolved with your coach. You must purchase shin guards and the appropriate size soccer ball prior to your child’s first practice. It is MANDATORY that shin guards be worn at all games and practices. Soccer cleats are optional; baseball cleats with a toe-cleat or metal-cleats are NOT allowed.

All players will receive participation medals at the end of the season. Your coach will distribute medals to the team at the end of the season. U8 Tournament will have trophies for 1st place.
