The city offers medical, dental, vision and a prescription plan to regular, full time employees and their dependents, as well as health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Full time employees are also provided with a life insurance policy equal to $15,000 for basic life and $15,000 for Accidental Death & Dismemberment, with optional supplemental life up to three times employee’s annual salary. The city also offers long term disability (LTD) to all regular full time employees. Short term disability (STD) is offered as an option (at the employee’s expense). Medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits are effective 30 days after date of hire for all regular full time employees.
VACATION AND LEAVE
The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as twelve paid holidays. Regular, full time employees earn three weeks of vacation for the first nine years of employment and 2.4 weeks of sick leave.
The city provides a retirement plan to eligible employees through the Texas Municipal Retirement System, as well as a voluntary supplemental 457 deferred compensation plan through ICMA-RC.
The City of Anna contributes to Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) both Social Security and Medicare, a U.S. federal payroll tax.
