Block Party Trailer

All block party trailer reservations are conducted through the special event permit.

The Block Party Trailer is free primarily to neighbors in HOAs, Neighborhood Associations, and Crime Watch Groups in the City of Anna. Reserve the trailer at least 60 days before your event.

Reduced or waived fees and/or free use of facilities may be granted to community-sponsored groups, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities including but not limited to:

  • Anna Independent School District
  • Anna Parent Teacher Associations
  • Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce
  • Anna Community Development Corporation
  • Anna Economic Development Corporation
  • Anna Fire and Police Associations
  • Anna Area Historical Preservation Society
  • Anna Area Rotary International
  • Anna Boy Scouts of America
  • Anna Girl Scouts of the USA
  • Anna Fire Protection Associations
  • Other community sponsored non-profit groups as approved by the city manager or designee

To make hosting an HOA Block Party even easier, the City has the Block Party Trailer, which includes all of the "infrastructure" a party needs, like tables, chairs and games. This can be utilized in HOA common areas. Street closure are available coinciding with nationally recognized holidays.

The Block Party Trailer includes

  • Six 8' tables
  • 30 folding chairs
  • Traffic cones
  • Lawn games
  • Cooler
  • Speaker

Trailer Delivery and Neighborhood Responsibility

  • A city employee will deliver the trailer on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at an approved location and during an agreed-upon time window.
  • An adult over the age of 18 will need to be present during delivery. 
  • You will be responsible for the trailer and its contents while it is parked in your neighborhood. 
  • Residents will not be permitted to move the trailer at any time.
  • Before pickup, all items must be clean, dry and secured in their appropriate spaces. The trailer should also be swept and free of trash.  

Pick up

  • A city employee will pick up the Block Party Trailer Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at an approved location and during an agreed-upon time window.
  • An adult over 18 must be present for the inventory and pickup. The organization is responsible for any damages or missing items.
