Criminal Investigation Division
Sergeant Chad Butler is the primary contact for the criminal investigation division.
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) plays a crucial role within the Anna Police Department. It focuses on investigating criminal activities, gathering evidence, and preparing and filing cases with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office. CID also includes a detective for narcotics offenses and a detective assigned to the Collin County Child Crimes Rural Task Force to investigate crimes against children. Additionally, the CID is responsible for the care and retention of collected evidence and property.
