Anna Announces Departure of City Manager Ryan Henderson
Ryan Henderson, who has led the City of Anna with steadfast dedication and humility, will leave the organization as City Manager, effective Oct. 24, 2025. An Acting City Manager will be named and the City will initiate a national executive search shortly thereafter.

Fatality at NB US 75 North of FM 455
At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 12, a multi-vehicle accident involving six vehicles occurred on northbound US 75 in Anna just north of FM 455.

Anna Fire provides fire prevention education to local classrooms
The Anna Fire Department is committed to ensuring the safety of those living in and visiting the Anna community through increased fire prevention and awareness education. As in previous years, the Fire Prevention Division has teamed up with NFPA to lead this year’s campaign within the Anna ISD educational system.

City earns national award of excellence in financial reporting
Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Anna for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2021. This is the third year the city has received the award.

City of Anna receives Tree City USA designation for 2nd time
For a second consecutive year, the City of Anna was named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. The Arbor Day Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters, sponsors the Tree City USA program.

Anna hosts first Juried Art Show
On Feb. 23, the City of Anna hosted its first juried Student Art Show in partnership with Anna Night School. Twenty-four students participated in the competition. Zaylie Harris took home the top prize, followed by Annatte Adusei (2nd place) and Keely McGrath (3rd place).

Rosamond Parkway in Anna opens for access
The City of Anna is excited to announce Rosamond Parkway to U.S. 75 is now open. The roadway serves as a critical East/West connection between U.S. 75 and S.H. 5 in northern Anna. Additionally, it provides a direct connection to Anna High School, improves traffic circulation at the high school and middle school, and will help relieve congestion at F.M. 455.

Anna seeks input from Neighbors in Community Survey
The City of Anna is excited to partner with Polco, a national firm, to participate in the National Community Survey, a 21-year-old survey with roughly 140 community-related questions that will help the officials “better understand how the city’s performance impacts the community.”
