History of Park Name
The park was named in honor of John Flavel Greer, Anna's first mayor and postmaster. Born in 1850, Greer settled in Mantua in 1870. When the railroad bypassed Mantua, he built the first house and business in Anna, laying the foundation for the new community. His leadership and vision significantly contributed to the city's early growth.
